Normally when using a dish drying mat alone if you place something upside-down the now-enclosed interior has trouble fully drying because there's no airflow to promote evaporation. If you place it right-side-up then water is liable to pool at the bottom which takes longer to evaporate than spread-out water.

To improve this situation, these lattice structures are designed to be placed on top of dish drying mats; for my mats I fit four of these side-by-side per mat. They have an open design for the bottom legs which promotes airflow; the result is greatly reduced drying time for dishes placed on these. Additionally the lattice structure is handy for orienting metal straws in a way that promotes drainage (pictured).

Printing Advice

I printed these with 0.15 mm layer height with speed settings based on the Quality preset. I think the layer height could be larger without issue, but the speed should be kept slower such as what the Quality preset configures due to some of the base features having fine details.
