Vinyl Wall Holder

This wall holder is designed to hold up to three vinyls in their cases. There is an offset for each vinyl so that part of the covers are always visible. The vinyl slots are at a 5 degree angle to the wall and the part is design to have a standard 12" vinyl sit gently against the wall in the rearmost slot; this helps prevent the vinyls from leaning forward.

Key Dimensions

Each slot measures 12.75 mm which is the maximum thickness of the enclosed vinyls per slot.

Non-Print Materials Required

This part is designed to be mounted with 3M Command Large Picture Hanging Strips (16 lbs): one on the left side and one on the right oriented vertically. I use this with a number of thicker vinyl covers (see the photos), but if you have particularly dense vinyls all in one holder I recommend doubling the number of command strips.

Printing Advice

I printed this with the 0.30 mm layer height Draft preset and with 10% Grid infill. The part is designed to be print from either side which means the layer orientation is strength-oriented. The mechanical strength of the part isn't a concern so additional perimeters should be unnecessary.

The included gcodes for the x1 and x3 variants do not include pre-determined color changes; in my case I just ran down filament spools and let them happen naturally, but you might consider slicing in a color change for a nice effect.
