Description
I had a unique problem of not being able to properly inflate a Big Agnes Air Pad with my tiny pump I couldn't find something like this online and so I created it into existence, I hope it helps someone else too!
This is a heavily redesigned (basically from scratch) remix of the Big Agnes Air Pad to FlextailGear: Tiny Pump X One-way Valve Adapter which I remixed from another design using Tinkercad. It now can help deflate Big Agnes sleeping pads and works overall better with the overall fit, and especially durability of the previous version. The previous version had a bit of layer separation if taken off and put on a certain way repeatedly so this version is reinforced in those areas.
It attaches via Friction fit to the top (Deflate) and storage, the side(inflation), and reversed top(for upward facing light stand)
This can be used to inflate most Big Agnes Sleeping Pads as well as help deflate and can be used as a stand to put the pump in light mode when attached to the pad (sleeping with it on the pad is not recommended). The Adapter has 4 holes to tie threads or attach as a keychain to store it, although it can be stored on the pump as well in the deflation mode for better comfort and a more ergonomic shape in a bag.
It is also designed to avoid the little metal loop part as well so that it can move freely as much as possible while keeping decent contact with the sleeping pad inflation hole. The Pump adapter is basically a set-and-forget thing you can use the pump and adapter to inflate the pad until the pad is inflated and then you remove it when the desired comfort level is achieved.
The deflation is mostly hands free the sleeping pad has a tendency to vacuum seal part of the pad to prevent parts of air from coming out but at the very start and very end of putting it away, it can be useful to make it more compact than usual. The deflation feature wasn't one I used much, but the light can be useful.
I added some additional "turbine look" art effects(that can improve grip too) but these are meant for “cool factor” any benefit to grip is mostly coincidental.
