Description
I want you to be able to organize your tools using the Skadis pegboard system and keep them within arms reach. This portable panel lets you set up an organized swatch of tools and materials and carry them over to wherever you're working.
I'm very proud of how the handle and feet can be centered on the Skadis panel regardless of how many rows of slots you are working with. Both the feet and the handle have allowances for a 3-wide or 2-wide configuration. The number of Columns needs to be odd though.
This model is build on top of my Parametric Skadis Board Generator, meaning you can print the Skadis board itself and customize the size within the Fusion 360 file! Head over to the generator to learn how to manipulate those parameters!
Hey, this may not work for all Skadis attachments (especially the ones that don't attach well), and may be a pretty bad way to carry heavy things. Be careful, and don't blame me if dropping it throws your tools and fasteners all over the floor. This is probably a bad idea for transporting things long distances or through BT territory.
I designed these parts to be easily printable. However, the handle requires supports.
You'll want to print:
The only parts you can't print are four M3x14 (#TODO) bolts. You'll need to purchase or scavenge four of these (with matching nuts) to attach the handle/feet to the pegboard.
I know it seems a bit silly to design a system that brings this pegboard panel back onto the wall, but desk and shelf space is sacred. So, I'd like to add a wall-hook so you can “set this down” even without shelf space and still have every tool displayed nicely.
Since I'm printing the board, handle, and feet anyway, I'd like to make a version where they're all made into one piece. I don't think it's as versatile of a design, but it's still in my head anyway.
One of the most wonderful things about small-scale manufacturing is that it allows people to make beautiful objects that are not limited to the traditional engineering design space. I am not limited as much by the material used or the time it takes for me to design. Even on objects that may be taken for granted, the community can discover the best possible form and bring beauty to them through meticulous attention.
