Hemp grinder

Note: New version of this grinder design is available here

This grinder was designed for ease of printing with 0.6mm nozzle. Teeth are larger than other common grinder designs. Yet it can produce finely ground herbal particles.

Contains slots for two 2mm diameter x 0.8mm magnets. Grinding plate is inserted into the shell. There are 3 notches that should prevent grinding wheel slip (gluing these parts is recommended).

Durability tested with 0.6 mm nozzle,  15 % hex  infill, 02.mm layer height and only 2 perimeters with Nebula light blue PLA. It was dropped on concrete floor from 2 meters and grinding was tested first with CBD hemp and later with some harder spices like whole pepper and clove. Whole room smelled like clove afterwards.

However its purpose is not to grind hard spice but hemp flowers. You can use finer version of the grinding wheel if you find the normal version not fine enough (not tested).

Beginner printing notes: Orient all parts correctly before printing, some parts are flipped in the STLs. Tray, shell and grinding wheel should face upwards as on the main picture. The lid should be printed flat side first with teeth upwards.

If you want custom lid design, you can use blender to import svg file, extrude it, convert to mesh and create your own lid with boolean modifiers.

The threads can sometimes be too stiff, just use little bit of oil and they should work just fine. Using mineral or silicone oil is better but vegetable oil should be fine too. Then wipe any excess with alcohol or soapy water.
