Description
This is a slimmed down (to 7.5 mm height) version of the Prusa Face shield RC3 EU version.
The STL contains a pre-made stack of 10.
Two of those fit on a Prusa MK3 printbed.
With optimized settings (all speeds set to 100 mm/s) it takes about 15h to print the 2x10 stacks on a 0.4mm nozzle. Equalling ~45m per part.
The easiest way to separate the stack is to first crack the layers at the head band attachment points and the lugs for the face shield with a small screwdriver. After that a butter knife or spatula can be used to wedge them apart.
Due to the 'perforations' between the stacked prints they do require a small bit of post-processing. Just a few passes with a knife or snading paper on the portion that touches the face is enough.
Prints well with almost default settings in PETG, Colorfabb nGen / XT.
One important change is to enable the "Detect thin walls" setting to ensure proper printing of the break-off separations between the stacked parts.
For improved throughput setting all speeds to 100mm/s works fine as well.
