Description
This is a cloth mask based on the Olson design and leveraged from a pattern published by Clayton Skousen and Rose Hedges of UnityPoint Health in Des Moines, Iowa, USA. This is a pattern that needs to be sewn. As the Covid--19 Pandemic spreads, many governments are recommending that users wear face masks to improve protection. Though this is not as good as a certified N95 mask, we hope that it can provide some help in the fight against the virus.
The modifications add a 3D printed nose bridge to improve sealing around the nose area, and a pattern for cutting and installing a filter membrane (Vacuum Cleaner Bag, Coffee Filter, Merv 13 Furnace Filter, etc).
Included in the files are instructions, templates for cutting out the fabric pieces (paper or 3D printable), a template for cutting the filter shape, and nine different sized nose bridges for 3D printing.
The instructions are included in the images. Basically, cut the fabric, sew the mask, choose the right size nose bridge and install it (if desired), then install the filter (also if desired).
