Description
Recovered from the ruins of a forgotten workshop hidden beneath the cobbled alleys of The Old Kingdom, the Clockwork Vault bears the unmistakable signature of pre-Aetherian craftsmanship.
Scholars believe it to be one of the last surviving mechanisms designed by the elusive engineer known only as The Relativist — a figure whispered about in the logbooks of guild historians and frowned upon by the Chrono-Sanction for non-linear experimentation.
The vault itself is a small marvel: gears interlocked in deliberate tension, waiting for the precise motion to trigger a smooth, almost ceremonial, opening of its lid.
Though no inscriptions remain, the mechanism suggests a purpose beyond simple storage. Many theorize it was built to safeguard something fragile — a memory, perhaps, or a message meant for someone long gone.
Even now, when opened, it emits a subtle mechanical sigh — as if relieved to be remembered.
The bolt that secures the lever to the large gear is threaded directly into the gear itself – no heat insert is required for this connection.
For all other bolts, however, you’ll need to use heat-set inserts to ensure a secure and durable fit.
Before printing, make sure to split the model into its individual components using your slicer.
