Description
2023.01.28 EDIT: I have uploaded millimeter based .OBJ files under “Armskore Coil Gun Pistol V2” and added a better stand for the prop under “Baseplate Assembly V2 Slim” folder.
I designed all parts to be as 3d printable as possible with minimal supports, just requires careful placement and some superglue to hold parts together when assembling. Parts should be scaled to inches, PrusaSlicer can detect and rescale should your slicer scale be set to metric.
All parts can be printed in three large prints, optimal supports and placement has already been generated, I recommend using a lighter color filament if you plan on painting, or use a sandable spray paint for initial coat.
The trigger is held back by a pen spring, squeezing the trigger presses a push button that connects a hobby motor to a 9vDC battery, simple idea that requires soldering and some filing of plastic depending on how you choose to replicate it. I wanted to have a strip of 5v LED lights beneath the coil that glowed red when pulling trigger but I just couldn't figure out a suitable circuit, since 9v was not enough to drive both motor and lights, so would've needed two batteries and some transistor setup that I did not have success on.
