Description

Model includes a pocket in head for one large button magnet 8mm diameter x 3mm thick. Pockets (4) in feet for small button magnets 4mm diameter x 1.4mm thick. Pockets (4) in body/tail for small button magnets 4mm diameter x 1.4mm thick.

I originally printed the lizard with one large but only 6 small magnets but added two more pockets in the tail to make it more poseable.

The included G-Code file (PLA, .17mm detail) has pauses set at the correct height/time to add the magnets. The first pause is at 1hr. 33min. to add the small magnets. The second pause is at 2 hrs. 11 min. to add the large magnet. (Adding the large magnet too soon may result in the print head hitting the magnet and damaging the print.) Three hour total print time.

I have printed this with a DRAFT .25mm setting but prefer the detail even though it takes an hour longer.

Use caution when removing the magnet since it will have the additional adhesion of the magnets to the bed when printed on a printer with a steel print bed/sheet and the joints can be easily broken.

This model is for use on FDM printers. I know how you would do it on an SLA/Liquid 3D printer.

PLEASE NOTE:
Make sure to keep small magnets/lizard away from children as they pose a health hazard if swallowed!
