Cat treat ball puzzle toy

Features:

• Smell
  All the holes around the toy help the cat sense the food inside. They can smell it and wonder how to get it.
• Sound
  The many holes inside the ball are not only there to make smell spread, also the sound. even with only one piece inside it still makes this rattling sound that your cat soon will associate with this toy and treats.
• Motivation
  It is easy to get your cat to play with it. Just grab some of her favourite treat and pout it inside. As soon as she push it the first time she will learn that she can this way get to the treat.
• Puzzle
  There is only one hole where the treat fit through. So the treat will not always be accessible. Only when the cat roll it enough there will be success.
• Safety
  The design with holes is so strong that I can even stand on it. And believe me that means something ;)
  This means there will be no accident where you step on it and hurt yourself. There is also no way your cat will broke it and hurt himself. No sharp edges where someone could cut himself or your cat and no risk of suffocation.
• Size
  The inside of the ball have a diameter of 47mm. The hole for the trat is 18mm wide and 12mm high. This should work for most treats. If someone has a wish for more sizes let me know. I will be happy to create one. Maybe I already did then you will find the size in the filename.

How to print:

In my expiriens printing a ball is allways kinda hard. But here are some things that will help you.

• Use a Raft or Brim
  This will help so it holds better to the buildplate. You will see that at the bottom is one of the hex hole so there is not a single point of contact to the sphere, but instead a bigger contact area where is the border of the hex hole.
• Use support for the bottom.
  This will help with the overhang. But dont use it for the full half anotherway you will have a hard time to remove the support. only cover like ⅓ of the sphere with support. This will also prevent the sphere from tipping over mid print.
• Use support on the cat silhouette
  If your slicer supports it put some extra support to the top of the cat silhouette hole. another way it will not turn out as clear as it could be. and you will have to remove some strings.
