Description

This is a customizable corner tiered shower shelving system. This was intended for the corner of our shower, but you can create a corner multi-shelf system for anywhere.

The Pieces:
The system consists of basically feet, poles, shelves, and caps. There are 3 pole sizes, large, medium, and small. The poles have a male threaded rod at the top and a female threaded insert at the bottom. This allows the poles to be combined in many combinations to make different lengths—bigger than your print size—and to screw the feet on the bottom and the caps on top. You can add any number of shelves.
The poles come in three sizes: small, medium, and large.

Print instructions

To withstand and hold up better against the hot shower water, I printed the first prototype in ABS and this final version in PETG. Both worked fine. I used 0.4mm @ 0.2mm height with 15% infill.
Perimeter on all parts changed to 3 for added strength and 4 or 5 for poles (see below).

Supports are only needed if you print the side basket.

When printing the poles, I used a large brim of 10mm to 15mm. This is especially important when printing the taller poles. I have many a ruined pole because they came loose and were knocked over before they were finished printing :-(

Again, make sure to print the poles with a 4 or 5 perimeter layers. If not, then when screwing the poles together may case the male threaded part to snap off.

Clean up the poles female threads with a deburring tool or similar to insure any print foot effect is removed allowing the poles to screw together easily.
