Description
Print the shelf bracket support-free in the orientation it's downloaded in. I used 2 brackets for each shelf, 1 on each end. But you could use more if you'd like.
After the shelves are hung there will be a small gap, about 12mm, between the wall and the back of the wood. This is intended in case you want to adhere an LED strip to light up the wall behind the shelf.
There are holes to screw the bracket into a piece of wood, and holes to screw it into the wall. I definitely recommend screwing it into the wall, but you could use wood glue to adhere the brackets to the wood if desired instead of screws. I did not bother to screw my shelves into studs in the wall, but if you plan on using the shelf for heavier objects you may want to consider this.
For the wood shelves I used 1x5's (19mm x 114mm) of wood from Home Depot. The longer shelf is about 3.5ft long and the shorter is 1.5ft.
I designed the brackets specifically for these Star Wars themed shelves, but they'll work for any sort of shelf that uses a similar size of wood!
