Wyze Cam Custom Body for 3D Print Monitoring (with F3D for customization)

The Wyze Cam works great for Print Monitoring.

However, I faced the following issues with the stock body:

• Unstable base
• Enclosure heats up over time
• It's tough to plug in power unless I use the stock power cable

WARNING:

This project may result in permanently damaging your Wyze Cam, and you should only attempt if you are good with fixing electronics.

I can't be liable for any damages.

So I designed a simple enclosure for the internals of the Wyze Cam with lot of air flow.

I glued it to the back of the Y-Axis Motor, so that the camera has a stable view of the build plate, especially for the initial layers.

The Camera is more responsive now, and with no heating or wobbling issues.

Memory card also allows recording of past few hours.

So, if anything bad happens, one can figure out why it happened.

Prints in 2 parts that snugly fits all the components.

The Camera board is mounted on the top section.

Used super glue to hold it together.

Please print with the side face down to be able to print with no supports.

The model is available for free download and use.
