Description
Easy to print AA & AAA battery dummies.
Tired of having to replace dead batteries on all your devices? Hook them up to a power supply instead, using these dummies.
For each dummy battery you'll need an m3 nut and a round head m3 bolt (See pictures). Together this yields just the right length to replace a regular battery and ensure good contact between the bolt and battery holder terminals is made.
The battery size as well as the polarity are labeled (because the Positive side protrudes a bit farther outside the battery body).
Using these dummies is especially usefull for devices that require 3 batteries (AA or AAA). Those need up to 4.5V to operate, which is just below the regular 5V of a USB phone charger. I recommend adding a 1N4148 diode in line to the positive terminal, as the voltage drop (~0.72v) over that diode puts the resulting voltage right inside the regular voltage range of 3 batteries.
