Assistive Shoe Tying Device

This is an assistive device that the students of the University of British Colombia create to be entered into the Simon cox foundation student contest.

Achieving the ability to tie your own shoelaces unassisted is an integral part of obtaining independence for the geriatric population, and those with arthritis, limb differences, neuromuscular disorders, and other musculoskeletal disorders that have difficulty with fine motor skills. Therefore, developing a solution to this problem has the potential to extend to a large population of individuals.
