Description
I love vase mode things, and there is Easter - so I wanted to combine those two concepts: a vase mode Easter egg! As such it is a quick print and takes only 7 g of filament - which is especially helpful if you need a couple of them.
It is somewhat inspired by Clockspring3D's Swirly-Whirly Eggs, but quite different. The decorative helical structure also serves as screw threads. There's much space for goodies.
I added a version with holes, so you can pull some yarn/twine/string/cord through to hang it up.
Scale to your needs. If scaling substantially bigger or smaller, scale the extrusion width by the same factor.
Printing
You can print both parts (and even 4 parts for 2 eggs) in one go:
You can even print 2 complete eggs in one go on the Prusa Mini. Do not let the instances overlap in y direction, i.e. the next instance is completely behind the previous, but shifted to the other side (actually a few mm overlap in y might be ok). Slice and show travel paths to verify; see screenshot. This way the x rail doesn't knock over the already printed instances. The distance in y to the next instance on the same side depends on the bulkiness of the printer head.
