Description
Designed and printed this so that the kids could use it when playing with playdoh or other activities. As with most 3D printed objects, it shouldn't be used with real food.
It rolls smoothly with two sealed 608-2RS (or 608zz) bearings. I originally printed the handle in PLA but my kids are pretty young and broke it pretty quickly by dropping it on the handle. Ultimately, I printed it in a stiff TPU and it has held up well. Older/more responsible kids shouldn't have a problem keeping it in one piece. It might take a little working to get the threads worked in. I made them intentionally tight to prevent it from coming undone while rolling or from my kids.
Print settings:
Layer height is up to you
I used a pretty high infill percentage for the roller to increase the weight and reduce the force required on the handles
3 Perimeters
Print the roller on its end to keep the roundness - supports required for the bottom bearing slot
Print the handles laying down with supports enabled. The handle/rod needs to be oriented at a diagonal to fit on the print bed of a mk3s+.
