Hinged lid containers connector bar

Cute little containers with hinged lids become so much more valuable once they can be combined to larger small-part storage systems.

Now in this post you find a connector bar for 4 containers. There are more bars of different sizes and complete frames for two-dimensional arrays of these containers in the makes, which I will release very soon.

The feature that makes these dove-tail based parts so special, is the imprinted flat spring, which makes sure that the containers are held well in place on the bar.

Print instructions

The bar is very simple to print in the uploaded orientation. No infill or brim is required. I used a infill modifier to print the dove tail parts with 100% infill and the rest with 15% infill to save time and material. But either way, it's not really critical.

I do recommend however that you print this bar from the same material that you printed the containers from. That make sure the container fit perfectly on the bar.
