I wanted a quick, easy but secure way to take my media remote with me to various activities (mowing, biking, car, charging, etc.).  This mount will friction fit the remote well, but I added a 6.35x2.5mm magnet to the mount and glued a washer to the remote (sorry, can't remember what size washer. The recess hole for the washer is larger at 18.5mm diam so no need to be precise). This combination holds the remote well over rugged terrain.
