Barbell Collar or Clamp for 50mm Olympic Barbell

This is my take on a one piece print for a barbell collar/clamp. I have yet to print it, so it may need some tweaking. Should probably be made with PETG or ASA. If you are handy and have a twin or multi extruder printer, printing the innermost walls with TPU would increase grip on the barbell. Fits standard 50mm Olympic size barbells.

To use the clamp, simply squeeze the little tabs together to open the clamp slightly to slide it over the barbell.

Update 10/22/24: I finally saw and fixed the “fusing” issue that was talked about, which should also fix the “too small” issue.

This clamp won’t hold plates back on a vertical bar, but is definitely strong enough to keep them from sliding around on you. I added a 60mm wide version for even more clamping force!

Printing:

Paint on supports at the end of the tab only.

Use a brim if you have bed adhesion issues.

I used 4 perimeters and 20% cubic infill
