Description
A fully 3D printed air horn! Print-in-place with a minimalist design, it doesn't require a membrane!
It makes sound with the vibration of a free reed when air passes through. You don't even need the horn to get the sound, the provided files for testing the tolerance will also make a sound when blown into.
You need a well calibrated first layer for the reed to work. The reed itself is only one layer thick and it must be very close to - but not touching! - the frame to sound properly. Before printing the horn, you can try the two test files I've provided to see which tolerance fits best with your printer.
If even the 0.2mm tolerance seems to provide a too wide gap between the reed and the frame, try disabling the “elephant's foot compensation” in your slicer.
