Description
Even after 5 times of printing the AngryCam OV5640 mount of "chri.kai.in" I could not get the thing to print and fit together correctly. The tolerances seem quite tight and you need an extremely precise printer to get good results. Apart from that, I found it quite a hassle to remove the housing and route the cable correctly.
Therefore I designed this simpler, but easier alternative; the Happycam!
The print consists of 2 parts, 1 mainbody which determines the angle (straight to the center of printbed), and the camera cover which encloses the electronics and makes sure it stays in place. the camera cover latches on 1 side, while the other side threads into the plastic with a single M3x6 or M3x8 bolt (SHCS or BHCS). The camera itself fixes position by 3 little pegs, and the mainbody mounts to the inside of the top-front extrusion with 2x M3x16 or M3x18 bolts (SHCS or BHCS).
Everything is designed with a decent tolerance, so you should be able to just install it really easily. The cable routes thru the side and can be guided into the aluminium extrusion.
Tested working with waveshare OV5640 cameras, and aliexpress generic OV5640 camera board, for 250, 300 and 350mm vorons.
