End cap for nielsen gallery rail - Endkappe für Nielsen Galerieschiene

This is a end cap for a nielsen gallery rail. The rail will be mounted near the cieling and pictures can be hung using a nylon cord and a special hook. The rails are available as a set or as a extension rail. Unfortunately the extension rail comes withouth end caps and the end caps are not offered by every home improvment so you can only buy them online. As shipping was to expensive in comparision to the cost of the cap I designed a part that caps of the end of the rail and serves the same purpose.

It is a quick print and if you use white filament it is almost not to be distinguished from the original one from 1 or 2 meters away.

The pictures with the part on the blue bar mat shows the original part.
