Description

Neutrik NC3MXX cable mod. Turning a normal plug into a 90° angled low profile plug that you can print in your own color for match and marking.

Features :
- 4mm and 6mm cable support
- Supports both male and female plugs, and plugs with push-button without blocking the button mechanic.
- Strong and tight (no single thread rotation engagement or lose caps)
- 360° lockable cable exit orientation, able to align multiple cables to exit in same direction.

How to print :
- No support needed.
- Print cap using concentric bottom layer gives a nice pattern ;)

How to use :
- Make sure you add the “fork” and “thread insert” to the able before soldering the cable to the plug.
- push in the fork together with the plug into the casing.
- Screw in the insert until flush with casing, it should go in smooth by hand, else use a screwdriver on the internal teeth.
- Align cable to the direction/orientation you want it to exit.
- Counter clock wise rotate the cable 90° away from your wanted orientation.
- Then push in the “cap”, and rotate tight clock-wise until nice and tight and wanted precise orientation is achieved :).

I wanted to get more desk space by removing (tugging away) the XLR 6mm cables. And I wanted to isolate vibrations to the microphone more by switching to a 4mm cable that also exits out of the side to make a nice loop before contacting to the mic stand.

(coming) Update :
Currently on Holliday, but will upload more pictures of final result when I'm back :)
