Low Profile HomePod mini Wall Mount

Introduction:

I designed a three part wall mount for my HomePod minis. The parts are:

Wall Plate: Secures to the spot on the wall where you want to mount your HomePod mini. Note the arrow indicating the correct orientation.

Gripper Plate: Screws into the gripper, and slots into the wall plate.

Gripper: Holds the HomePod mini, and provides a path for cable management along with the gripper plate.

Why 3 parts? I wanted a strong design that could be printed without supports and allowed for a separate wall mount that could be positioned, leveled, and secured to the wall without the bulk of the whole thing.

Print Settings

I printed this on my Prusa Mini+ with PLA using the default 0.20mm QUALITY setting.

Mounting Instructions

Find a location on the wall where you intend to mount the HomePod Mini. Use top of the tenons on the wall plate to use as a guide for a small level (or just eyeball it). Be mindful to orient the arrow facing up! Mark the location of the mounting plate holes on your wall with a pencil, drill the holes, put in your wall anchors, and screw the plate into the wall. Make sure the plate is secure to the wall.

Screw the gripper plate into the gripper, and insert the HomePod Mini. Wind any excess cable in the trench behind the gripper. Slot the mortises on the back of the combined gripper assembly onto the tenons on the wall plate.
