Description
This is a stubby version of Greg191134's AWESOME CR-10 Strain relief bracket, remixed to fit the Tronxy XY-2 Pro.
It will NOT work with the crackling automotive style wire loom that comes with the Tronxy XY-2 Pro. The wires, at least in the case of the printer I received, are barely long enough to reach the plug on the PCB through the chassis hole. Without extending the length of the wires for the heater, you may find it difficult to add strain relief at all to this printer.
I substituted the included wire loom with some nylon braided loom which is far more flexible, and allowed me to add strain relief without replacing or extending the wires for the heater element. Unprotected wires would work as well, but I wouldn't recommend doing it without adding a grommet to the through hole of the chassis as the insulation of the wiring will most certainly wear through over time.
My printer came with the hard plastic loom wire tied to the spring of the associated bed leveling knob, making it difficult to properly adjust that corner of the bed, so some kind of 3rd party strain relief was a must, which is why I adapted Creg191134's model, which has been working great for me on my CR-10 clone.
