Description
Finally, a 3D printable 5 String Electric Violin! There is also a 6 string option included here if you like. And the most recent 4 string (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3505364) There are also extra copies of all the same pieces with hidden conduits and hidden compartments should you choose to go a little crazy with your project.

UPDATE: Added 2 Fingerboard version for larger bed printers that avoids a seam in the fingerboard. “Full” which fits PRUSA and LONG which is the original length but needs an even bigger bed than a PRUSA. This is not a critical option in the end; but a number of people have requested the option so I've been trying to get it designed and tested. I like the result. Thank you to Autotilt for the inspiration.

This is currently a work in progress, as I haven't finished assembling mine yet. But since it's almost done and I need to take a break for a bit, I feel comfortable publishing it as I know there have been a number of requests.
If you're not familiar with 5 string violins they are just like 4 strings, but have an added lower C string making them like a violin and a viola in one. My wife happens to be a viola player, so I'm hoping to get her assistance fine tuning this one when I get around to wiring it up.

UPDATED: The tuning peg holes weren't quite right and flipped inconsistently, so I rebuilt all those pieces to be more consistent and clean.

Extra Optional Goodies
The reason this particular one has taken me some extra time is that I've been playing with a lot of magical Adafruit stuff at the same time, making wireless MIDI instruments and controllers, etc. All hail Lady Ada! When you're playing violin, your hands are pretty much occupied, but your movements aren't; which was made obvious to me when we took our girls to see Lindsey Stirling in concert. So my Eureka moment was when I connected that you can send MIDI control signals wirelessly via Bluetooth from things like tilt sensors and all kinds of other sensors to applications like Ableton Live. Get where I'm going with this?
OK, so in addition to ALL THE REGULAR PIECES for a 5 string and 6 string version of my violin, I have included versions of the same pieces with conduits and compartments for those of you who want to go really wild with this thing (or like me, plan to enhance it as time goes by). Of course, you need visual feedback too, so I've also included 8 separate conduits for LED strips, like AdaFruit NeoPixels or DotStar strips. There is even a hidden compartment behind the bridge for a bright light or other sensors. So please share whatever you end up doing, with me and the rest of the world to show your appreciation.

Like my other violins, the parts for this one are interchangeable with my other ones (The Mina and The Annelise violins) to mix and match; and while the designs are straying, those connections still have their roots in Stepan Ignatovich's original ElViolin, which I think were masterful. All hail Stepan83!
