#Sometimes machine sanding is not appropriate and you need to hand sand for instance thin finishes or plaster

I wanted a way to keep the sizes of sanding paper I keep to reasonable number so I am reusing an idea I saw on the internets (in a Tim Sway Guitar building video I think)

There are several variants including ones with holes or not (with a vacuum attachment - I'm not sure the use case but still why not), large and small handles that are interchangeable and a solid version for all in one print.

0.6mm nozzles are prefect for this kind of print, any kind of filament will do

The removable handles are held on with M6 hardware, and will suit either a heat set insert of an M6 full nut

You will need a hook and loop pad - these are available as replacements for orbital sanders but you could always use self adhesive hook and loop cut to side - you need the hook side. I used this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hook-Replacement-Backing-125mm-Holes/dp/B00J43X5WE

Beware when the holder comes off the print bed you cant guarantee its 100% flat (wait for the bed to cool down before removing the print is a good start) , depending on how flat you need it it may well be fine but its worth checking with a strait edge before you apply the hook and loop pad.

If there is some variation to remove (and for sure the hook and loop may add some) use a peice of float glass or other flat surface and a sheet of sandpaper.

When you apply the hook and loop pad cut a strip of the backing paper away on the middle so you have a chance to reposition.

Finally you may need to cut a hole in the middle of the hook and loop pad for the screw to pass through
