Use with ∅2mm pencil lead or steel scriber.
Postprinting
- The the chuck nuts (rings) need to be screwed before inserting the rod or lead - unscrewing will later tighten them. They are tapered so make sure to have the smaller diameter down (print orientation). Soak the chuck in hot water for that step to minimize risk of breaking.
- Use Sandpaper to get smooth surface an the rod and to remove paint after filling the markings.
Features
- The octagon shape prevent it from rolling around.
- The 2mm and 1cm markings on the rod give you a clear indication when moving the rod and fix with the chuck.
- The 16 (8 thick) markings on the base indicate 0.25mm (thick marker) and 0.125mm adjustments (1 rotation≙2mm ↦ ¼≙0.5mm) for fine adjustments via the thread.
- The locknut (ring) ensures no change while marking.
- The extra hole at 10mm can be used to mark thin (up to 1mm) edging marks.
Please let me know if you need longer rods or for thicker scriber, a smaller/bigger base or if you want more fine adjustment length. Or any other improvement.
