Description

I recently got an Ender3 Pro and wanted to add to it most of the modifications I've installed on my CTC A10s since I'm happy with how that machine is performing.  The A10s is a poorly made knockoff CR-10, so it shares much of the design features with the Ender3 platform.  There are some subtle differences that prevent me from using all the same parts for both printers, so I look for similar parts to keep both machines functionally equivalent where possible.

The Y axis belt tensioner I finally decided on for the Ender3 Pro was published by rhyonly on Thingiverse.  Rhyonly's tensioner is better in every respect than what I've been using on the CTC, so I decided to go the other way and adapt his design to attach to the CTC.  Rhyonly's design looks much better IMO, is much sturdier, doesn't protrude as far from the front of the printer, and prints without supports.

UPDATE 102323:  I added another nut by “hebign” so that I could use this design on my Tronxy XY-2 Pro.  I try to keep all my “like” printers configured the same.  I was using a different style of belt tensioner on my Tronxy XY-2 Pro, but since I already remixed this tensioner to work on my CTC A10s, I decided to throw it on my Tronxy so that my A10s, Ender3, and Tronxy are all using the same setup for Y axis belt tension.  After installing this on my Tronxy, I realized the low height of the bed allowed it to slam into the nut when the bed moved fully forward, so I had to find or design a lower profile nut.  Fortunately for me, hebign had a low profile nut that fits this model as part of his “CR-10-X Belt Tensioner”.
