Firefighters Skull

This is a decorative piece intended to appeal to firefighters. The concept was suggested by industrial_millwrong. Unfortunately, I lack the talent to make his idea look good, but I'm publishing it none-the-less in hopes that somebody who does have the talent can make this thing look great.

The skull is from a 3D scan I did of a Halloween decoration and the Axe was designed by "Loykhmer" of Thingiverse and is available in it's original form at: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2355402

I've included an unmodified copy of the original 3D scan of the skull for those who wish to alter scaling or angles of additional items named "Skull_Uncut.stl".

Please excuse the crudity of the paint job I did on the axe heads in the cover photo. I printed the heads in silk silver, then taped off the faces and painted them red. Unfortunately, I didn't have any actual masking tape so I used Scotch, and a drip slipped under the tape on one of the heads. Perhaps printing the heads red then spraying the faces silver would be better, but I'm not sure...

Hopefully somebody will swoop in and finish this design or be inspired to make something truly wonderful.
