A Hex on You: Collapsable Witch Hat (For decoration, wearing or pumpkins!)

This 3D printed model is a hexagonal witch hat that can features a print-in-place telescoping top, which lets it get quite tall with 3 segments. It has print in place pieces that slide into place (and you may glue if you wish). 

You  choose from versions with or without holes for standard 1" elastic straps (to put on your head or a pumpkin).  Use it as a yard ornament or as part of a costume. It is designed to be easy to print and assemble. It is also customizable and compatible with different colors and materials.  (Shown here in 3 color render to emphasize the 3 telescoping parts.)

Printing instructions

I recommend a layer height of 0.2 mm, and using PLA or PETG, although most filaments should work here.  I recommend a brim on at least the thin-walled interior telescoping parts to make sure they stay attached to the plate during the print.

If you want to use elastic to keep the hat on something like your head, then print the internal straps version.  This will require a tiny bit of paint-on support in the spot indicated in the attached picture.  Otherwise no support needed.
