Sock cat sock clip for washing machine

today I present to you:  laundry cats! They wear your socks whilst you don't need them and keep them nice and sorted. 

What is this and how needs it?

For anyone doing the laundry and having to sort the socks. It is a sophisticated little clip to keep your socks together in the washing machine, in the socks drawer or whilst hanging to dry in the summer heat.

Why not round?

With this clip the socks are secured on two points and not just on one like in the round variants.

It also - undouptedly - looks quite fancy.

Fit and finish

The clip should work for any type of sock. If you encounter any that don't, hit me up and I might change some settings to make it work.

I decided to print with a sturdy setting, with a layer height of 0.2mm (also used in print profile, profile is for PLA because I normally do not use cura and had no PC profile handy)

Choice of material

Because this cute cat will see some pretty harsh abuse by the washing machine (please don't stick your real cat in the washing machine), 

I recommend to print it in a robust Filament with a glass transition temperature (when it starts to soften) of around 65°C (150°F for all you imperialists) and some flexibility, because for proper operation, the cats neck has to bend, not alot, but a bit and it needs to stay in shape.

Because of that I printed mine in Polycarbonate, PETG might work fine too (have not tried).

If you print in PLA and it is useable, please let me know and I'll update this description.

I would not recommend using this clip in the dryer if you dont use a very high temperature filament, because it might melt to the sides of your convenient appliance.

Why the holes?

If you need to sort socks for up to four people, everyone gets a box of those clips with their own amount of holes in them and all socks get back to the rightful owner. If you do it by age, nobody gets confused and everybody is happy.
