This bracket will keep the end of your rain gutter supported off the ground.
It is sized for 2"x3" (nominal) downspout, a common residential size in North America. The actual inner width is 83mm.
The bracket is designed to support the gutter 120mm off of the ground.
Design features
- Pre-"drilled" attachment holes for #6 or #8 screws. The holes are offset to reduce rotation of the bracket.
- H-frame design to provide support without using excessive material.
- Chamfered and rounded edges for easier handling.
Printing instructions
- Print the bracket as oriented in the .stl file (upside down).
- You shouldn’t need any supports.
- Choose a material suitable for the outdoor application.
Installation instructions
- Slide the bracket onto the gutter (the gutter fits into the smaller end with straight edges).
- Use #6 or #8 screws to secure it. For metal downspouts, consider self-tapping metal screws.
Notes
- Like most of my models, I've designed this with OpenSCAD and it is fully parameterized. If you would like a modification (e.g., dimensions, height off the ground, screw hole sizes), just send me a message.
