Description
This is for mounting a standard 15/20 amp rocker switch on the front right corner of the Tronxy XY-2 Pro 3D printer.
To save a few cents on some copper wire, most 3D printer manufacturers install their power switches towards the rear of the machine. I find that to be a nuisance and have retro-fitted all of my printers with a front mounted switch.
It only just occurred to me while contemplating a fastener for the stylus I made for the Tronxy that I never published the switch mount I made for my least favorite printer, the Tronxy XY-2 Pro, so here it is. :)
UPDATE 07092024: I added a version 2 of this design. Having ditched the Tronxy's mainboard and display with recent upgrades, and moving the position of the LCD I'm using to the left side of the printer, the mains wiring was exposed due to the short cavity of my initial design. I extended the length of this model so I, or anybody else using it, will be better protected from electric shock.
