Description
I couldn't find this online, so I made my own. It is a honeycomb-patterned cylinder for printing in vase mode - as a lamp shade.
The fusion 360 file is parameterized, so you can easily change the size of the comb or of the vase with just a few clicks. It will always generate a cylinder that is a whole number of cells tall. If you need an exact height, make it too large and cut it afterward.
The provided files are 150 mm in diameter and about 200 mm tall. The cell pitch is the name, the “bee sized” one has a pitch of 5.4 mm, which is what you find on beekeepers' comb foundation.
The top and bottom of the cells print have a mean overhang, and I had to go down to 0.10 mm layer height to get it to print well with PETG. You might have more luck with PLA.
