Description
This version of the sword has been broken into different parts so they can be printed separately in different colors then glued together. The cap is not glued on but is removable by squeezing its sides, the blades then can be printed separately then inserted or replaced.
Supports are not required, for best results use a .4mm nozzle. The blades can be printed all at once concentrically or individually in vase mode. I suggest printing in vase mode but if printing concentrically, the test print can be found here. Find detailed instructions on how to print collapsing swords on my website.
Warning, the wrap has a much steeper angle than I normally design for. To get a good result, print it slow at a low layer height. I used .15mm
I used Gorilla Glue (aff.) to glue mine together. The top and bottom black guard pieces trap the red guard to the hilt. I got the extra colors with manual filament swaps.
Printed on the Muldex rep-rap IDEX printer
