Description

This is a mount to attach the Waveshare 7.9" capacitive touch display to the front of a Voron 0.2 (it may also work for the 0.1 or 0 but since I don't have those I can't confirm that).

The mount points are designed so that they don't conflict with this power supply bracket.

Installation

You need two preloaded M3 nuts in the underside of the front extrusion. Fortunately It's pretty easy to add them after the fact by simply temporarily removing one of the front feet.

Cabling

Attaching esp. the HDMI cable can be a bit difficult since the plug is on the upper edge of the screen.

I used the “U” adapter supplied with the screen as well as a series of 90º and 180º degree adapters as well as very thin cable with a 90º upwards cable exit (see pictures).

For the touch connector I also used a 90º plug with a 50cm cable. I did have to shave the plug somewhat to fit.

Different Skirts

The angle of the display is set to fit for the default skirt height of the 0.2.

If you have different height skirts / feet you can modify the height in the CAD model (see below) by changing the skirt_h variable in the OnShape document, this will automatically adjust the angle.
