You probably know all of these cheap lights that contain GU10 lamps. Most of these lights are kept very simple and can easily be converted to economical LED light sources. Compared to halogen spotlights, LED lamps not only have the advantage of saving energy, no, they also don't get as hot as halogen spotlights. While a halogen spotlight needs these high temperatures in order to function as long as possible, it is exactly the other way around with LEDs. The lowest possible heat allows long lifetimes.
These "lower" temperatures (70-80 ° C) enable us to attach a diffuser or something similar directly to the lamp. I recommend using PETG or ABS in any case for the connection to the GU10 lamp (thread parts and the connectors). I used transparent PETG, it went well with the ivory white light source. The actual diffuser or the symbol that you want to illuminate can of course also be printed in PLA, as I did. At this point the radiant heat is not so great that the material should deform.

Another note about the GU10 lamp. I started with lamps that have NO lenses, but have a clear or opal pane. This ensures a beam angle of approx. 100 to 120 degrees and the illuminated objects are illuminated to the outside. Lamps with lenses usually offer a much narrower beam angle and do not fully illuminate the diffusers, which I designed with a diameter of 170 mm.

I printed some of the images in 2 colors. From a print height of more than 1.5 mm, I only overprinted the outer circle with gray PLA. It looks a little better in the dark because you can see the ring less. I warmed up the butterfly on the wings and bent it a bit, this creates a nice 3D effect.

You could do many things, for example eyes that look at you in the dark, swap ornaments and symbols depending on the season or festival and holidays, when the child has new interests, attach new superheroes or fairies, 3D effects, butterflies, flowers, it has to also not necessarily be glowing in the dark, lithophanes would also be conceivable ...

I connected the connectors with a piece of filament. The piece pushed through and made a little hot at the ends and pressed flat. So it is very flexible and you can change the panes whenever you want.

Ihr kennt sicher alle diese günstigen Leuchten, in welchen GU10 Lampen enthalten sind. Meist sind diese Leuchten sehr simpel gehalten und können leicht auf sparsame LED-Leuchtmittel umgestellt werden. Die LED-Leuchtmittel besitzen gegenüber den Hallogenstrahlern nicht nur den Vorteil der Energieeinsparung, nein, sie werden auch nicht so heiß wie Halogenstrahler. Während ein Halogenstrahler diese hohen Temperaturen benötigt um möglichst lange zu funktionieren, ist es bei LEDs genau anders herum. Möglichst geringe Wärme erlaubt lange Lebensdauern.
Diese "geringeren" Temperaturen (70-80°C) ermöglichen es uns, einen Diffusor oder ähnliches direkt an der Lampe zu befestigen. Ich empfehle hier für die Anbindung an die GU10 Lampe (Gewinde Teile und die Konnektoren) auf jeden Fall PETG oder ABS zu verwenden. Ich habe transparentes PETG verwendet, das passte gut zu dem elfenbein weißem Leuchtmittel. Den eigentlichen Diffusor oder das Symbol welches ihr anstrahlen wollt, könnt ihr natürlich auch in PLA drucken, wie ich es getan habe. An dieser Stelle ist die Strahlungswärme nicht so groß das sich das Material verformen sollte.

Noch ein Hinweis zur GU10 Lampe. Ich bin hier von Leuchtmitteln ausgegangen, welche KEINE Linsen besitzen, sondern eine klare oder opale Scheibe haben. Dadurch wird ein Abstrahlwinkel von ca. 100 bis 120 Grad gewährleistet und die angestrahlten Objekte werden bis außen hin beleuchtet. Lampen mit Linsen bieten meist einen deutlich engeren Abstrahlwinkel und beleuchten die von mir auf 170 mm Durchmesser designten Diffisoren nicht vollständig.
Appropo 170 mm Durchmesser. Durch diese Größe sollte es auch möglich sein auf etwas kleineren Druckbetten (z. B. Prusa mini) zu drucken.

Ich habe bei einige der Darstellungen in 2 Farben gedruckt. Ab einer Druckhöhe von größer als 1,5 mm habe ich mit grauen PLA nur den äßueren Kreis überdruckt. So wirkt es im Dunkeln etwas besser, weil man den Ring weniger sieht. Die Schmetterlinge habe ich an den Flügeln etwas erwärmt und gebogen, so entsteht ein schöner 3D Effekt.

Man könnte viele Dinge realisieren, zum Beispiel Augen, welche einen im Dunkeln ansehen, Ornamente und Symbole je nach Jahreszeit oder Fest und Feiertagen austauschen, wenn das Kind neue Interessen hat, neue Superhelden oder Elfen befestigen, 3D Effekte, Schmetterlinge, Blumen, es muss ja auch nicht unbedingt im Dunkeln leuchtend sein, Lithophane wären auch denkbar, ....
Ich hoffe ich kann damit eure Kreativität fördern und bin gespannt was es für Remakes geben wird.

Die Konnektoren habe ich mit ein Stück Filament verbunden. Das Stück durchgesteckt und an den Enden etwas heiß gemacht udn flach gedrückt. So ist es sehr flexibel und man kann die Scheiben immer wieder nach belieben austauschen.
