Description

Celebrate the new year with a fiery flair! For the Chinese year of the Dragon, these glasses have a yellow dragon on a red background that will make you stand out.

Welcome the year 2024 with these Dragon Glasses! This 3D model is inspired by the Chinese zodiac sign of the dragon, a symbol of power, strength, and good luck. The glasses have a yellow dragon on a red background on top of the frames, creating a striking contrast. The eyes are cut out, allowing you to see through them. The glasses are a quick print that works in multiple colors, and a pre-colored version is provided.

The Dragon Eye Glasses are a fun and festive accessory for the new year or any occasion. Provided as 3MF, as well as in a prearranged/colored 3MF for Bambu/Orca-Slicer users. I recommend printing at 0.16-0.2 mm layer thickness. I used 0.16 mm here to get a smoother arm transition.

Assembly

Assembles in a couple easy steps. Tolerances built into the print already.

  • The arms should press-fit into the holes. After fitting, you may wish to remove them and add a touch of superglue to lock them in place, especially if the fit is loose (optional).
  • The dragon plaque has two little alignment tabs that should fit in the frame holes.
    • The fit/match is intentionally tight, but the tolerances have been tested extensively with PLA/PETG work great. I recommend a small drop of glue in the hole in the frame, aligning the plaque and whacking the tabs in place from the back with some blunt hammer blows to seat the plaque. Allow it to set , and you're all good!
