iPad Pro Magnetic VESA Mount

This print lets you mount your iPad Pro 11" to a monitor arm using the VESA standard. The iPad can be easily stowed/retrieved from the monitor arm because of the magnets in the iPad pro.

I was inspired by this video showing the use of a cheap “Smart Folio” iPad cover being cut to use as a VESA mounting point. I wanted to make a more polished print for this.

To make this print work, you'll need to purchase a cheap iPad pro “Smart Folio” type case that attaches magnetically to the iPad. This is the one I used: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08TBF3Z1L/

I cut off all but the back panel of the case and used CA glue to attach it to the print.

I also wanted there to be a lip on the edges facing downwards, just for some extra peace of mind. This supports the iPad from shearing force that might pull it off the magnetic surface.

Since the lip would cover some of the speakers and charging port, I cut sections out to unblock those areas.
