Description
This is a three piece fan grill for the “Satsana” cooling fan assembly by Eric Anastas. My original design proved difficult to print, and impossible for me to paint with my unsteady hands. This version prints rather easily in 3 parts.
The base should be printed as modeled in the STL without any need for supports, brim, or raft. The skull prints nicely with supports to the bed only. The wrenches will definitely need a brim for bed adhesion, but don't need supports.
It was my intent to print the base in the color I used on whichever Satsana assembly I was fitting it to, the skull in white, and wrenches in silk silver, but layer adhesion on the silk filaments is quite dodgy, so I instead printed the wrenches in white PLA and painted them with the brim still connecting them with a silver shaker can. I printed the base in green for my CTC A10s and my green Ender 3 and pink for my pink Ender 3. If you're intending to paint the wrenches with your build, I highly recommend painting them with the brim still attached. Once the wrenches are dry, remove the brim and glue them into the provided holes in the skull. Depending on your printer, you may have to lightly sand the tips that insert into the skull.
This model is not specific to the Ender 3, CR-10, or Creality printers in general, but is specific to the Satsana cooling fan assembly by Eric Anastas. If you're using Eric's Satsana model, this model should work with it regardless of your printers manufacturer.
