What can you do, when you just own to many LEGO sets and there is no more space on shelfs, walls or anywhere else?

My wifes position was clear: No more LEGO! There is no more space!

Did she think about the ceiling? - I think not!

3D-printing to the rescue! I designed a small and simple mount to fix your 42083 LEGO Bugatti Chiron to the ceiling. Overhead racing rocks!

Printing

Refer to the picture for correct print-orientation. The front piece needs support.

I printed it with a 0.6mm nozzle and Prusament PETG signal white. I also used 4 perimeters to add stability.

Finishing

The hole for the fixing pin was a bit to small. First I tried to enlargen it by heating it. That was a bad idea (see the burn marks?).

It worked perfectly by just using a 5mm drill-bit.

Mounting

I screwed the front part to the ceiling. Then I slid the car on and marked the position for the rear part. There is some play when screwing the rear part. Easy!

You can fix the car by putting an orange pin in the hole of the printed part. Now it won't move whatever you do!
