Description
The kind folks at the local HVAC shop decided I needed to be reminded of their existence by stamping the wall plate of the thermostat with their business name and phone number.
Additionally, the wall plate is MASSIVE. In order to generate a minimalist plate so as to draw as little attention to another wall wart as possible, I needed a “dummy load…” Basically something to work from to build a nice fitting plate.
This design required a bit of Fusion 360 Foo. I couldn't just generate a loft because the slightly complicated curvature of the sides would be lost. So after figuring out how to use rails for the curved loft, I was ready to go!
I hope you enjoy this design. It was deliciously frustrating to solve.
