Description
The Zinc 2.0 is a powerful 3D printed mag-fed (7 to 12 round capacity) foam dart ("Nerf') spring-powered blaster designed by 118 design. It is capable of over 200fps muzzle velocity with the right configuration though gets about 180fps with the default hardware.
Due to the realistic design please print in bright colours to differentiate it from a real firearm if you will be taking it anywhere where it could be visible to the public. The models in the images are ‘prop’ models which are not taken outside or to events.
Buy a hardware kit (select legacy original version for compatibility with these files): https://www.frontlinefoam.com/product/zinc-hardware-kit/
Download assembly guide, print guide and remaining original part STL's (see note below) from 118 design's GitHub: https://github.com/118design/ZINC Also see details further down for some additional print considerations for these improved parts.
Buy some half-length darts, here are some links

You will need some basic common tools for assembly, see the assembly guide linked above.
Extra files required: this listing does not include all of the printed parts required to build the Zinc 2.0. The remaining original parts will need to be downloaded from 118 design's GitHub linked above as I won't reupload them without making any changes. These remaining parts are the Sear, Catch, Cover, Plunger, and Guard. There is also an alternative appearance part for the guard attached to this post that will work should you wish to use it.
For the hardware kit, select the legacy original version from Frontline foam, as these files are designed for this original hardware kit.
Allows for easier printing due to expanded supports, adds some material in areas prone to snapping, and slightly loosens up many tolerances to minimise post processing and other annoyances of the assembly process (depends on printer tolerances). See my listing for the improved slide for more details and some helpful tips for easier printing and assembly. https://www.printables.com/model/251754-zinc-20-improved-slide
Loosens up tolerances for easier installation of the barrel, release, and trigger parts. See my listing for the improved frame for more details and some tips for assembly. https://www.printables.com/model/745111-zinc-20-improved-frame
Front is extended slightly for a flush appearance with no hex head bolts poking out. Slightly more room for magnets (no trimming required to fit them in). Slightly more room for the sear part to move. Round section that slides onto the frame is thickened slightly to reduce chances of cracking when installing or removing.
Trims areas for an easier fit with minimal sanding. Trims barrel slot, top surface, ramp protrusion width, and all outer surfaces.
Revised geometry allows the lip to click in further. This makes the mag more secure once inserted and prevents unintentional ejections. This file is the right-handed version of the part, simply mirror it in your slicer for the left handed version.
Adds an additional o-ring slot on the pusher part for a better seal behind the dart. The hardware kit comes with a spare you can use (I think). If not you will need this o ring https://www.mcmaster.com/product/9452K19 . This is not my design but I'm attaching it for convenience as it is not listed on Printables or Thingiverse at this time as far as I can see. I am unsure of the original designer as I downloaded it from a repost.
Adds 1mm of length to ensure seamless locking and ejection without sanding or trimming the catch slot, as the mag can slide in slightly further before the mag base collides with the bottom of the grip. This is only an issue on the 7R mags as obviously the base wont collide with the grip on the longer mag variants. You may still need to trim the protrusion on the rear for the spring ejection with a pair of snips if it prevents it from going in all the way.
Recommend using a brim to print. Print in same orientation as original (see the print guide on the Github linked above).
Improves durability as original is easy to snap when dropped. Also has revised geometry to eliminate/minimise post processing.

Same as mag base thicker but with trimmed edges for a much better appearance with longer ‘extended’ mags (8R, 10R, 12R). Also looks good with 7R mags.
Original is a very tight fit that required a lot of sanding to slide freely inside the mag body. This version has revised geometry to eliminate/minimise post processing needed for it to fit into the mag body. You should still sand or file the inside of the mag body, especially the rear side where the filament is bridged.
Additional or alternative parts for a different appearance or function.
Same as improved front but also adds a ‘Scar’ rifled barrel in front of the actual barrel. Spins the dart for increased accuracy. The extra effective barrel length can also provide higher FPS due to giving the air slightly more time to accelerate the dart before it exits the end of the barrel (results may vary).
Remix of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5109302, as it also modified some geometry to attempt to achieve a lighter trigger pull, but required heavy trimming/sanding. My version keeps the skeleton design with the flat front but also keeps the rest of the geometry the same as the original so it should work straight off the print bed. It also incorporates all of the improvements from my regular improved trigger.
Alternative appearance for the trigger guard part. This file is the right-handed version of the part, simply mirror it in your slicer for the left handed version.
Only modification is the extra length for 1 additional dart. Made it for aesthetics mainly.
See original listing for printing guide. https://www.printables.com/model/733270-picatinny-sight-mount-for-zinc-20
Adds a Picatinny rail to the top of the blaster for mounting optics, includes 3 variants with varying underside rail configurations. These are not modified/improved parts but are my own original designs. Requires 1 or 2 M5 x 35mm bolt/s and nut/s, depending on the variant.
