Prusa MINI/MINI+ ‘Z-TOP’

The Z-Top is an alternative lid design for the electronics box enclosure, which attaches seamlessly to your Prusa MINI or MINI+. The Z-Top connects at the base of the z-axis and replaces the lid of the stock electronics board enclosure, using the same mechanism for attachment. 

In addition to being an aesthetic improvement to the MINI's design, the Z-Top relieves strain by rerouting the MINI's cables in a more natural, organized manner and eliminating the finicky cable-stay. You also have the option to mount a fan, which clips directly in to the lid's hexagonal perforations.

4B Version | 3B/3B+ Version

Assembly:

1. Print the ‘Base’ and ‘Lid’ parts
2. Attach the two parts by inserting the two tabs at the rear of the lid into the base, then push down other end to fully seat it in place (or you can wait to do this until last step)
3. Remove the stock lid and re-route the heatbed cable through the rear slot of the assembly
4. Gather the extruder and filament sensor (if you have one) cables at the front corner of the enclosure, adjacent to z-axis extrusion
5. Slide the two tabs at the rear Z-Top into the designated slots of the stock enclosure, then fully seat the rest of the assembly
6. Re-use the M3 bolt from the stock lid to fully secure the Z-Top into place
7. If adding a fan, insert the four hexagonal tabs on the mount into any four corresponding perforations in the lid, then slide the fan into place
