Description
One of the very fist 3D print projects I ever did when I got my first printer was a box to hold a pair of chopsticks made from reclaimed redwood by a fine arts woodworking student. As I had a cold this week I was in the mood for a nice low stress/complexity project, revisiting the chopsticks box seemed to be just the thing.
It is expected that inside the box the chopsticks will be wrapped in some kind of cloth or paper napkin that can be cleaned or discarded after being in contact with used chopsticks. It will also have the added benefit of keeping the chopsticks from rattling around. Without any additional wrappings the box can hold 2 sets of disposable chopsticks.
I designed the pattern on the top/bottom of the box to stand out best when there is a filament color change after the first 0.8mm and before the last 0.8mm. If you don't have a machine that can innately do multi-color, most all slicers allow you to insert specific G-code commands at specific layers. The g-code command "m600" will trigger a filament change in machines running marlin 2.0 firmware or higher.
