When soldering, it’s crucial to protect yourself from harmful fumes. That’s why I designed this fume extractor—not only to redirect fumes but to completely remove them from your workspace, ensuring clean air for you and everyone around.

What Makes This Fume Extractor Different?

This fume extractor is more than just effective—it’s the result of thorough research, testing, and valuable feedback. Unlike a simple fan, it uses a two-stage filtration system for comprehensive air purification:

• HEPA Filter: Captures tiny particles and dust for a clean environment. (Why HEPA?)
• Carbon Filter: Absorbs harmful gases, fumes, and odors for full purification.

For even more effective fume removal, you can attach a 125mm hose to the back of the extractor to vent fumes outside. 

Easy and Versatile Design for Everyone

This fume extractor is designed to be simple and adaptable. It’s fully support-free for easy 3D printing, uses readily available hardware, and offers three power options. Also no need to cut the fan cable, so you won’t void any warranties. Additionally, a handle can be added for easy portability.

To make the setup process as easy as possible, I’ve included clear wiring diagrams, a detailed assembly video, and step-by-step instructions.

Assembly Guide

1. Select Your Power Version: Decide whether you want to use AC, DC, or PD power.
2. Choose Your Additional Parts: Determine if you need any optional components, such as a handle.
3. Gather Hardware and 3D Parts: With your power version and additional parts chosen, you’ll know exactly what hardware to buy and which 3D parts to print. 
4. Follow the Wiring Diagram: Once you have all your components, refer to the electrical wiring diagram for proper connections.
5. Watch the Assembly Video: Finally, follow the assembly video for step-by-step guidance on putting everything together.

Power Options - Choose What Works Best for You

Select your preferred power source for the fume extractor:

• AC Power: Plug it into a traditional wall outlet (some electrical knowledge required).
• DC Power: Uses a 12V DC jack, like common adapters for electronics.
• PD Power (USB-C): Modern and convenient with USB-C PD adapters supporting 12V.

Important Note: For the AC version, please ensure that all AC wires are properly soldered and
