New coin trap!

More people than I thought liked my coin trap design. I wanted to address a few people‘s concerns with the various sharp points which made it less than ideal for children… 

It has had all it's dangerous looking corners filleted and chamfered to make them look nicer and print better. I would have done all fillets but they don't look good when printed horizontally to the build plate.

I want each version of the coin trap to be similar to the previous but unique in its own way. I thought of two pyramid coin traps put together and I started designing this one :)

As with the previous coin trap it is sized for a US quarter which is about 25mm (1inch) but it can be scaled to different sizes to make it fit other coins. the sphere in the center is 26mm in diameter.

This is a challenging model to print! I used no supports and I do not recommend you use supports as they will get wedged into all the holes. When pausing to insert the coin I noticed that the extruder lagged a little and didn't push enough filament through so it under extruded the first pillar it tried around the coin. The print succeeded however and I think that this could be remedied by moving the pause higher up. I posted a .gcode however if you want to take a try at it. I would love to see a make that fixes this problem.
